Theatrical Group Navy , long name, bombastic, like from another era, seems to refer even to a company subsidized by the highest level, and conceals what is really amateur theater group currently comprised of 2 actors and 2 actresses.
Our policy seems contrary representations to any theater group to use: we work to prepare shows always free. Another oddity that we take to gala is a group that goes where you open the doors of a theater, as is the case: Betanzos, Bergondo, Carral, Teixeira, Ferrol, Coruña ... We do not care where, as we are faithful to a faithful public, that whenever we call, filled the room, that has led us to organize from 2010, the "Encontro de Teatro de Betanzos Conditions" which takes place annually in February in collaboration with the city of Betanzos, which we were born.
The list of authors represented in these years of association is not small. Among the closest we have in our curriculum: Xulio Cuns, Eduardo Blanco Amor, or Manuel Ruibal Euloxio Lourenzo . Represent nationals: Alejandro Casona, Jardiel Enrique Ponce, Chicho Ibáñez Serrador, Garcia Lorca, Carlos Arniches, the brothers Alvarez Quintero, Fernando Arrabal, José Luis Alonso de Santos or Paco Mir . And among foreigners: Italian Nobel laureate Dario For, August Strindberg, Woody Allen and Jorge Diaz .
Our track record also cover other activities such as promotional videos, documentaries, radio drama, recitation of poems, monologues and participation in cultural weeks.
To understand the birth of AT Mariñán would go back to the patient work of Daniel Martínez García, professor of English literature since 1987 when it reached Betanzos and contagious enthusiasm he taught theater. After taking riding a school theater group called Avelaíña and create Collective the bards, devised along with Xulio Cuns in 1994 the Group Theatre Mariñán as a solution for the continuation bound to theater students who study this subject in the Secondary School Francisco Aguiar de Betanzos.
And from then until now, looking back, loose notes found in our logbook that define us, objective data taken from many printed leaflets that give us the true measure of who we are and what we did here, simple memories that lead us to wonder at the audacity that we had to face certain works and especially how much we achieved almost the position.
Since the Twelve "founding partners" all started in April 1994, the group paraded 49 budding actors with their names.
